MAY 4, 2023 COUNCIL WORK SESSION & MAY 8, 2023 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING &

EXECUTIVE SESSION SCHEDULED


 

The City of Newburgh Council Work Sessions and Regular Council Meetings will be held in-person unless otherwise noticed. All meetings will continue to be livestreamed via the City’s website, and Facebook pages, as well as recorded. The recording will be made available at a later date.

Please be advised that the regular City Council Meeting scheduled for Monday, May 8, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. has been relocated to the Activity Center at 401 Washington Street, Newburgh, NY 12550. The Council Work Session will be held at Council Chambers at 83 Broadway, Newburgh, NY 12550.

The next Council Work Session is on Thursday, May 4, 2023, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. Immediately following the conclusion of the Council Work Session, the City Council is expected to convene an executive session to discuss matters pertaining to proposed, pending, or current litigation; and the medical, financial, credit or employment history of a particular person or corporation, or matters leading to the appointment, employment, promotion, demotion, discipline, suspension, dismissal or removal of a particular person or corporation.

The next Regular Council Meeting is on Monday, May 8, 2023, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Activity Center. Two public hearings are scheduled during the next Regular Council Meeting to receive public comments concerning amendments to Chapter 300 entitled "Zoning" of the City of Newburgh Code of Ordinances related to adult use cannabis and the City of Newburgh Long Term Control Plan Combined Sewer Control Facility Project at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Members of the public who wish to provide comments regarding the agenda or general matters of City business, during the May 8, 2023, Council meeting may do so in-person at the Activity Center.

Public comments regarding the agenda and general matters of City business can also be submitted via email to comments@cityofnewburgh-ny.gov with the Subject Line in this format: “PUBLIC COMMENT ITEM” by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023.
