The City of Newburgh Council Work Sessions and Regular Council Meetings will be held in-person on the third floor of City Hall, 83 Broadway, Newburgh, NY 12550. All meetings will be livestreamed via the City’s website, and Facebook pages, as well as recorded. The recording will be made available at a later date.
The next Council Work Session is on Thursday, February 23, 2023, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall.
The next Regular Council Meeting is on Monday, February 27, 2023, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall. Four public hearings are scheduled during the next Regular Council Meeting on February 27, 2023 to receive public comments concerning:
- The City of Newburgh Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) FY2022 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER);
- A proposed Local Law amending Article V "Exemption for First-Time Homebuyers of Newly Constructed Homes" of Chapter 270 "Taxation" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Newburgh;
- A proposed Local Law amending Article XII, entitled "Department of Fire" of the City Charter of the City of Newburgh;
- A proposed Local Law amending Chapter 42 entitled "Fire Department" of the Cod of Ordinances of the City of Newburgh.
Members of the public who wish to provide comments regarding the agenda, general matters of City business or the public hearings, during the February 27, 2023, Council meeting may do so in-person at the Council Chambers in City Hall. Spanish translation services will be available during the meeting.
