The City of Newburgh is seeking a licensed electrician to serve on the Board of Electrical Examiners. Interested electricians must apply by July 8, 2022.
The Board of Electrical Examiners is responsible for examining the qualifications and fitness of applicants for electrician licenses pursuant to City Code requirements, granting and issuance of licenses as electricians who possess the requisite qualifications, and adjudicates complaints against electrician professionals.
The Board of Electrical Examiners meet approximately once a month, with specific meeting times determined by member availability, at 22 Grand Street. Appointment to the Board of Electrical Examiners is by the City Manager. Appointed members of the Board shall continue to serve until a successor is appointed.
Electricians interested in joining must be licensed by the City of Newburgh. Applications for consideration may be submitted online at: https://cityofnewburgh.seamlessdocs.com/f/BoardApplication.
Paper copies of the application are available in the office of the City Clerk at 83 Broadway, Newburgh, NY 12550. Applicants may submit a letter of intent in lieu of an application. The letter of intent must contain answers to the questions found in the application available online or in the office of the City Clerk.
