The City of Newburgh Recreation Department is proud to announce the launch of the 2021 Winter Soccer Clinic for boys and girls.
Beginning on November 29 through December 22, the clinic will host children ages 3 -7 years old on Mondays and Wednesday at Heritage Middle School, 405 Union Avenue, New Windsor, 12553.
A Pee-Wee Division for children ages 3-5 will run from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and a Junior Division for children ages 6-7 will run from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
For a fee of $20, the Indoor Soccer Clinic will introduce the Pee-Wee Division (ages 3-5) to basic soccer skills, and will provide the Junior Division (ages 6-7), series of soccer training sessions tailored to further develop their soccer skills. Both divisions will conduct warm-ups, practice dribbling, passing, shielding, trapping, tackling, shooting and goalkeeping.
Parents/guardians interested in enrolling their child can register in person at the Activity Center, 401 Washington Street, Newburgh, NY 12550, or online at the Recreation Department website. Registration for the clinic is open, and there is a maximum enrollment capacity.
Children can be registered on the day of the event, but pre-registration is encouraged. Birth certificates are required at the time of registration.
Participants must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and must be properly equipped with shin guards and appropriate foot attire (no cleats are allowed indoors). Parents/guardians are responsible for providing their child with water, no eating or drinking of other liquids on the field is allowed.
