Historical Society of the New York Courts Lemmon Case Exhibit

A special exhibit of The Lemmon Case: 1852-1860, A Prelude to the Civil War, is currently on display in the lobby of the Newburgh City Court at 300 Broadway, Newburgh, NY 12550.
Visit the courthouse during normal operating hours to learn about the Lemmon Case and the role of New York courts in paving the way for the abolition of slavery.
