Complaint Process/Forms

The City of Newburgh Police Department is committed to providing the highest level of quality police service to all City residents. Policing is a very difficult and complex job and sometimes mistakes happen or maybe the actions of our personnel fall short of your expectations. The complaint process allows the Police Department to recognize these concerns and make improvements to provide better services.

Complaints may be submitted directly online. Hardcopies of the Complaint Form can be picked up and submitted at the following locations

  • City Clerk, 83 Broadway, Newburgh, NY 12550
  • Police Department, 55 Broadway, Newburgh, NY 12550

Each and every complaint will be thoroughly investigated, and appropriate follow-up actions will be taken as necessary. Once a report is created, notice will be provided within 10 business days.
