Parking Enforcement and Tickets

The City of Newburgh enforces alternate side of the street parking regulations to facilitate street sweeping. These regulations have been in effect since April 1st, 2008. For the purposes of alternate side of the street parking, the City has been divided into two sections (PDF). View the Parking-Ordinance-Map link for further information.       

            Section One:

  • All streets south of Broadway, in addition to the Colonial Terraces district, which is defined as streets east of West Street, west of Carter Street, and south of South Street
  • Monday
    1. Parking is allowed only on the side of the street with odd building numbers from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Tuesday
    1. Parking is allowed only on the side of the street with even building numbers, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Section Two:

  • All streets north of Broadway, with the exception of the Colonial Terraces district
  • Wednesday
    1. Parking is allowed only on the side of the street with odd building numbers from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Thursday
    1. Parking is allowed only on the side of the street with even building numbers, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

Exceptions:

  • Parking is prohibited on both sides of Broadway from Monday through Friday between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.
  • Monday Only
    1. Parking is allowed on the side of the street with odd building numbers on the following streets between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.
      • William Street, South William Street, Liberty Street, and Mill Street
  • Tuesdays only
    1. Vehicles can only be parked on the side of the street with even building numbers on the following streets between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.
      • William Street, South William Street, Liberty Street, and Mill Street
  • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
    1. No parking on the west side of Dubois Street from Broadway to First between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. No parking on the west side of Dubois Street from Third Street to South Street
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays
    1. No parking on the east side of Dubois Street from Broadway to First Street between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. No parking on the east side of Dubois Street from Third Street to South Street between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
