City Manager
Todd Venning was appointed City Manager on May 23, 2021.
Mr. Venning has 10 years of financial, policy and operations experience. He most recently served as the City Comptroller (CFO) for the City of Newburgh, NY. During his time as CFO he balanced the budget, built the City’s reserves and improved the credit rating outlook.
Mr. Venning has been successful in producing positive results and has a consistent history of delivering insightful analyses, collaborating in strategy development, execution, and providing financial and technical support to elected officials and senior executive staff members.
He previously served as a Senior management analyst at the City of Atlanta’s Department of Watershed Management, and as a senior budget analyst & attorney in the Tax Policy, Revenue & Economic Analysis Unit within the NYC Office of Management and Budget. In these roles he was responsible for budgets up to six (6) billion dollars, and for measuring the performance and accountability, and key performance indicators of select operational departments.
Mr. Venning has a Master of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in finance from the Simon Graduate School of Business. He is a licensed NY attorney, graduate of Brooklyn Law School, and received his undergraduate degree from University of Rochester.
