Map of Roads in NewburghThe City of Newburgh is located on the Hudson River, 60 miles north of New York City.

The city lies at the intersection of Interstate 84 (running west to Pennsylvania and east to Connecticut) and the New York State Thruway (I-87), which runs from New York City north to Albany.

The Catskills begin a half-hour's drive away to the north. The U.S. Military Academy at West Point lies just down the road (Route 9W) about 20 minutes to the south.

To get here from NYC by train, take the Metro North 'Hudson Line' from Grand Central to Beacon.

From Beacon, you can take a cab across the bridge, or take the new ferry, carrying passengers from the Beacon station to the Newburgh waterfront.

For those traveling to the City from outside of the region, Stewart International Airport is located just west of the City in New Windsor, New York.
