
Perhaps surprising for a city of 28,000 people, Newburgh is fortunate to have the Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra, which is now its 18th year. Conducted by Dr. Woomyung Choe, the symphony presents several concerts each year.
In nearby Beacon, the Howland Cultural Center presents chamber-music concerts every year.

Newburgh Chamber Music offers several concerts each year in various historic or otherwise notable space. Founded by the late Phil West, NCM is chaired by violinist and SUNY New Paltz music professor Carol Cowan.
