Audrey Carey Park

Dedicated on November 8, 2004, the Audrey Carey Park, on Liberty and Farrington Streets, honors former Mayor Audrey L. Carey, the first African American female mayor of a city in New York State. On June 13, 2006, the park was re-dedicated after the addition of playground equipment and other amenities for active play for neighborhood children. The mayor and the city manager thanked Natasha Cotton and others for initiating the transformation.
