City of Newburgh maintains, develops, and distributes a wide variety of maps and digital data. Geographic information is developed internally or acquired from the federal, state, and local governments as well as private sources, as summarized in the GIS Data Warehouse (pdf). Because conditions are always changing, the geographic data is constantly being updated.
Funded by the Water Department, the City of Newburgh Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Services unit provides integrated digital data development for City government departments, enabling accurate and efficient administration of geographic and location-related services. GIS Services also provides geographic information and maps to the public (fees may apply).
